About Trebor
Trebor’s “artist name” is a play-on words with his surname “Robert”. Georges Robert is an Ottawa born Canadian artist who now lives and paints in Gatineau, Quebec. At his first collective exhibition in August 2017, when he decided to show his artwork to the public, to his surprise all his paintings were sold out within a matter of hours. With all the comments and enthusiasm created by his never-before-seen art style, he decided to become a professional artist and to continue exploring and sharing his very distinctive art style.

The Artist: Georges Robert
​​Trebor bases his success on inspirations from earlier period art movements that he merges onto canvas and then applies his innovative painting techniques to produce very unique artwork. In his studios, he is endlessly experimenting to create new methods to improve his art style labelled “Colorist Art” by his local peers in 2018. Trebor, in his short career, is regard as a prolific painter completing over 400+ colourist art paintings and another 85+ abstract and rupestral artworks selling over 85% to collectors, the public and his entourage.
In June 2019, Trebor opened his first solo art gallery in Gatineau, Quebec to showcase his art style which he had to close within a year due to the pandemic crise. In September 2022, he reopened his art gallery but relocated it on the prestigious Sussex Drive, in Ottawa and only a few hundred meters from the National Gallery of Canada. In November 2024, Trebor decided to close his gallery for personal reasons and to devout all his time to painting in his studio.
Today, Trebor paintings are now sold exclusively through this website and a selection of art galleries in Canada and elsewhere.
