Ottawa born Canadian artist Georges Robert (Trebor) looks mostly towards nature to find subject matter and composition that he then transforms into emotional and arousing paintings. He like to say that: “ …I paint mother nature as I see her and not as she presents herself to me”.  Inspired by past colorist masters of colour and luminance, he brings into being an interaction of light using his innovative and unique painting techniques and clashing colour mixtures. His deliberate use of smooth surfaces to maximize colour refraction is the key element of his work. When viewed, his paintings generate a combined sense of opulence, attractiveness and brightness.

Trebor’s distinctive and provoking approach to painting totally sets apart his artistic style from other visual artists – “… his paintings completely overwhelm any space there in and they instantly become the center point of the room…” (Nathalie C.)
