COLORIST ART – SHORT OVERVIEW
My art style is a mixture of new techniques that I have developed over the past seven years. All my paintings begin with the application of a thin seam of acrylic paint over a pencil drawing of the subject matter. Once dried I apply with a brush my liquefied paints and other mixed products. This liquifying of various mediums, combined with store bought additives, allows me to manage paint in new and exciting ways on canvas or gallery wood frames. My usage of these durable and transformed mediums is now recognized as the principal feature of my art style which now defines my artwork.
As an example, I have created a technique that causes the visible brush strokes to recess below the surface. As the liquefied paint dries, gravity allows a transparent layer of the high-gloss additive to rise and harden producing a flat bright cover with all the brush strokes still visible below the surface. The resultant effect is a luminous layer that reflects all the color’s light and intensity outward.
In summary, the combination of all my innovative techniques has allowed me to create an original art style that is different, vibrant, and alive with colors and bursting with appeal for buyers and emotions for viewers.
