Many years ago, I took a sailing trip along the lower Labrador Coast that borders theAtlantic Ocean. During this voyage we literally passed by hundreds of islands of varying sizes. Every time the captain was asked the name of the island we were passing by, he replied “Big Brother Island,” it became a standard joke between everybody thus the naming of this painting.
