The wild giant aurock is the descendant of today’s modern cattle. This species could be found throughout southern Europe until about 5,000 years ago. The Minotaur, in Greek mythology, is believed to be this giant bull. The Minotaur was eventually killed by Theseus, the Greek adventurer and eventually the legendary king of ancient Athens.
