The scene for this painting is from a photo taken along highway #309 just north of Val des Bois, Quebec of a rock wall along the road. As a former wall climber, every time I drove past this rock formation I would wonder what a challenge it would be.
The forest and trees are a recreation by the artist and the river, in reality, is actually the highway along this beautiful scenery.
